Roxanne is originally from Rockford, Illinois, but has an accounting degree from Calvin College. Go Knights! She pursued her CPA license after graduation and spent three years in public accounting. After her third tax season she decided to try out the private industry arena and absolutely loved it but had trouble finding work that would accommodate a part-time schedule. So Roxanne decided to create the work herself by starting a company that helps small businesses get the bookkeeping services they need while offering flexibility to other part-time working mothers. Roxanne has been the owner of Rivertown Finance for five years and looks forward to many more. Roxanne spends her free time with her husband and daughter and has a passion for animals, volleyball and traveling.
Tracy is also a Calvin College graduate! She spent five years in public accounting and pursued her CPA license there. Although public accounting was a good experience, she was ready to pursue a career without tax seasons! So Tracy came on board with Rivertown Finance in the Fall of 2009 to help manage the workflow, the team and client relationships. Tracy loves to dive into new projects and create processes. She is an extremely hard worker and a valuable asset to the team. Tracy enjoys camping and boating all summer long with her husband and their Golden Retriever and volunteers her time at Ada Bible Church and McKenzie’s Animal Sanctuary.
Sommer is the newest addition to the Rivertown Finance team. She is a Grand Valley graduate and joins us after 10 years in public accounting. Sommer utilizes her previous accounting and tax knowledge to best serve her current clients. She is not only very skilled but very personable as well! Sommer is a church treasurer and enjoys spending quality time with her husband and daughter.
Lindsey is originally from Sayville, New York and is a Calvin College graduate. She also learned quickly that tax season wasn't for her and moved into an internal auditing position for a large private company. After having her son, Lindsey looked for a flexible job opportunity to accommodate her desire to balance her career and her growing family. Lindsey settled in at Rivertown Finance as a reliable resource who could help those clients who needed services onsite. Lindsey enjoys spending her time camping, with family, and scrapbooking.
Deanna has an associates in accounting and will soon graduate from Davenport University with a bachelors degree in accounting information management. She is also considering taking the CPA exam. She has been with Rivertown Finance for over two years and is eager to continue her career in assisting small businesses manage their cash flow and understand their financial reports. Deanna is very organized, detailed and ambitious! Deanna has three young boys that grab her attention when she is away from work and is an avid Mountain Dew fan.
Katie recently graduated from Calvin College with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. She is in the process of studying to become a CPA. Before coming to Rivertown Finance, she spent two tax seasons working as a tax intern at a local firm where she got a taste of the life of a tax accountant. Katie is extremely hard-working, organized, and dependable. She is excited to have the opportunity to utilize her accounting skills while having ample time to spend with her new husband. In her spare time Katie enjoys camping, reading, and cooking.
Donna is not only Roxanne’s mom but she is a respected mother figure to the entire team. If only every company had a "mom" like her to take care of them! Donna has a business management degree but has spent many years doing the bookkeeping for her husband’s business and has grown tremendously since joining the team. She is as loyal and honest as they come! Donna loves spoiling her grandchildren and her 110 lb. German Shepherd. She also enjoys teaching Sunday School at her church.
